Our Impact

2017 Signature Project

Adopt-a-Village in Guatemala

In our early partnership with Adopt-a-Village Guatemala, No Borders volunteers launched a multi-faceted project to raise awareness of the dangers of microscopic parasites that cause health issues in children. Mothers viewed live parasites under a microscope, and their children examined their hands under an ultra violet light to see that the parasites had disappeared after washing! Children were also given anti-parasite medicine. Rotaract members managed this health-focused project that benefited more than 100 children.

Several years later, we continue to support this organization through annual donations that help to support a child to pursue their education further.

2018 Signature Project

Homelessness Help Bag Project

Our Rotaract club worked to make a small local impact on this worldwide issue. The idea was to use a large Ziploc bag or another container designed to give one person things they need in the form of help bags for those in our communities experiencing homelessness. At least 20 help bags were expected per Rotary district involved and the project received much success in Oregon, USA and in Pakistan.

2020 End Polio Now Project

For World Polio Day (October 24) we created a Virtual Scavenger Hunt. Each item/activity taught you something new about polio that you may not already know. In the past, three randomly chosen winners also had a $5 donation made in their name to End Polio Now, Rotary International's campaign to eliminate polio.

2020 Green Revolution Project

The green revolution is the ideal, pre-eminent solution to the exacerbating pollution in our millennium.

Inspired by these circumstances, the Rotaract Club of Faculty of Science, University of Colombo (RID 3220) in collaboration with the Rotaract eClub of No Borders (RID 5110) have taken the first step towards the green revolution through our Only One in 2020 and 10X10 Tree Planting Initiative in 2019.

2020-2021 Signature Project

Only One

Only One was about bringing together Rotaract clubs from across the world for the green revolution with the motive “Green Revolution is the best solution to arrest Pollution”. Through this initiative individuals where encouraged to mobilize their local groups to plant a sampling and report back on it's growth while making sure it was well taken care of. The main reason behind planting a sampling was because it can be easily maintained and we can also trace the growth of the plant for conservation purposes.

On 16th of December 2021, Typhoon Odette ravaged various regions within the Philippines–leaving many without shelter, food, or water. Even as several days had passed, the situation for many of our countrymen continues to be bleak. In the spirit of bayanihan, the Rotaract Club of Cebu Fuente - University of San Carlos - in partnership with No Borders Rotaract held the 𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐘𝐃𝐀𝐘: 𝐀 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 to extend a helping hand to fellow Filipinos in need of potable water.
