Who We Are
The Rotaract eClub of No Borders, sponsored by the State of Jefferson Rotary eClub (District 5110), is a club for people ages 18-30. We bring together young professionals from across the world to exchange ideas with global leaders, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.
Since we are an online club, you can live anywhere in the world and still be an active member. We have bi-weekly online meetings that focus on leadership and professional development skills, life hacks, updates on humanitarian efforts around the world, as well as innovation through the Rotary community. We also work together on service projects in our local communities and abroad.
Our membership is from across the globe and we have a goal of representing 20 countries by 2020. Our motto: Service, Friendship, Commitment!
How We Meet
Traditional Rotaract Clubs meet in-person at a public place or private meeting room on a regular basis. Our eClub is designed for people who travel often, can’t sneak away from work for a lunch meeting, or are just busy and need to be able to participate on their own time. We put together an online blog format meeting that includes committee and club updates, a program/speaker, a Rotary family feature, and highlights from our members. We also meet in a “hang out” format where we get on Skype and discuss club projects, club goals, or do an activity together. We communicate mostly through our Facebook Group to share updates and information members may be interested in. With most young professionals having a little more uncertainty in their life, an eClub may be the best way to feel comfortable committing to a club.
How We Serve
The NoBorders club proposes at least 2 major projects per year for the membership to participate in. At least one of these projects is a project that can be done in your own community while the other may be something that is done in a community far from you. We also ask our members to get to know local Rotary and Rotaract clubs in their community and participate in some of their projects. This helps us build strong partnerships in the community as well as internationally.
